Qualifications

Ignacio Grau Grau holds a Doctorate in Law (the thesis for which was awarded a distinction cum laude), a Licenciate’s Degree in Law from the University of Valencia and an Advanced Diploma from the Department of Procedural Law at the University of Valencia. He also completed the Program on Negotiation at the University of Harvard. He has studied in Paris (Sorbonne), Florence, Phoenix, Leeds, Beijing and Shanghai and did an internship at Brown & Bain (USA).

Experience

He lectures on negotiation at the Fundación Estudios Bursátiles y Financieros and at the Valencia Chamber of Commerce. He teaches in-company courses on negotiation to executives and is a regular speaker on topics related to legal practice. He is an intern programme tutor for students taking bachelor’s and master’s degrees in law at the University of Valencia and the Catholic University of Valencia.

He contributes articles to various specialist publications and is a regular speaker on radio and TV. He is the author of Valoración judicial de la prueba en los procesos por accidente de tráfico (ed. Bosch, 2008) and La responsabilidad patrimonial sanitaria: aspectos procesales (ed. Volter Kluwer, 2017).

He has been partner and associate at various legal practices and is a founding partner of Rocabert & Grau Abogados, where he is the director of the firm’s Procedural Law Department.

A specialist in criminal law, he acts for the defence or prosecution in criminal proceedings. In the field of third-party liability, he brings legal action against large companies, banks, insurance companies, hospitals and public authorities that violate the rights of customers, consumers or users. He specializes in malpractice cases in the fields of medicine, banking, construction, insurance and transport (among others) resulting in injury or material or non-material damage.

He is a member of the Spanish association of lawyers specializing in third-party liability (AEAERC) and of the criminal, procedural and third-party and insurance law sections of the College of Law of Valencia.
